KAREN CAREY
Karen is the proud owner of Scruffy to Fluffy Spa, bringing over two decades of grooming experience and a deep love for animals. After 17 years as a mobile groomer, she opened the spa in 2015 to create a welcoming, stress-free space for pets and their people.
Working alongside her is her oldest daughter, Everly, who joined the team two years ago after college. For both Karen and Everly, sharing this journey as a mother-daughter duo has been the greatest gift. Their bond, passion, and dedication make every pet’s visit personal, gentle, and full of care.

ALANA CHESSER
Alana brings over 16 years of experience in the pet care industry, along with the hands-on insight of caring for three pets of her own. She and her husband relocated to Texas a year ago and have loved every moment. Known for her dedication and warm personality, Alana is passionate about providing top-quality care to every pet she meets.

PAYTON VILES
Payton is a graduate of DePaul University and a former collegiate softball athlete. After spending four years in Chicago, she’s now focusing on her degree in Sports Marketing.
In the meantime, we’re lucky to have her here at Scruffy—along with her two pups, Bentley and Banks! She has fit in with us so well, and we are so excited for her future!

Thu, known to all our customers as “My,” moved to Texas with her husband and their beloved dog, Jack-Jack, about a year ago. She has been grooming for around two years and has loved every minute of it. My’s gentle touch and cheerful personality make her a favorite among both pets and their owners.

HAILEY PIERCE
Hailey has been a familiar and friendly face at Scruffy for the past three years. With her gentle touch and warm personality, she’s a favorite among all the pets — every dog that walks through the door seems to fall in love with her! Her favorite might just be Doli (pictured above)!

RILEY WOOLARD
Riley graduated early from Glen Rose High School and is now pursuing her degree in dog grooming! Though she’s only been at Scruffy a short time, she brings a smile to everyone’s face. The daycare dogs absolutely adore her and her warm presence.
She—and her pups, Pewey and Duke—have been such a fun and wonderful addition to our crew!
